Well, it's week two of my second semester of college, and to take a phrase from Chinua Achebe, "Things Fall Apart." (On my reading list!! Not that I have time to read...)
Not that my life is by any means falling apart.
I merely mean that this semester is going to be harried at best. With three 10-page research papers, two part time jobs, the increased desire for social activities with these crazy friend-people that I've grown to love, and a sort of testing of my faith through various avenues, nothing seems to be as it was.
This weekend was a three-day, so not only were there many fun activities planned, but more time to procrastinate. I have learned NOW not to do that, even if you do have "an extra day." Because of 1) a class retreat Saturday 2) church, family and friend time on Sunday, and 3) a very creative and fun project on Monday, I was left with about 100 pages to read on Tuesday. Which not suprisingly, did not occur. But thanks to God's grace, I survived today's classes anyway, and here I am waiting to begin tutoring English to non-native speakers. Aaah! Not to mention the non-traditional Muslim student who wants me to be her conversation partner...
Oh Lord, Strengthen me and use me this semester.
Here goes nothing! Or, here I go with God.
God is good, all the time!
Hannah
